For a lakeside view and no-fuss dining experience, this is the place to be. Grab a seat on the patio and order up a classic burger and beer, or a plate of nachos, and watch the world (and the boats) go by.
03. Virgin Hill Coffee
This cafe and coffee house is a welcoming place to fuel up. Enjoy a coffee tasting experience, buy locally roasted beans in bulk, browse the boutique shop, or enjoy a soup and sandwich on their outdoor patio.
04. Caron & Frères
This modern coffee cafe is owned and operated by two brothers. Kick back with a coffee and pastry on their terraced outdoor patio full of lounge chairs and firepits. You can also stock up on carefully curated options of specialty wine, craft beer, and cider to-go.

05. Hike in the Mountains
If you’re up for a challenge, summit Mont-Orford on an 18.7 km round-trip hike that is perfect for a big day out in the mountains. For a more relaxed walk, visit Parc d'environnement naturel de Sutton for a cruise on the Lake Spruce Loop or the Round Top Trail
06. Relax Lakeside
In cottage country, lounging by the lake is a full day's activity. The shores of Lac Brome are surrounded by beaches and parks, perfect for picnics and lakeside relaxation. Bring a paddleboard or canoe for a float along Lac Brome, or visit Douglass Beach for a sandy shore that is perfect for swimming with change rooms, volleyball courts, and picnic tables.
07. Bike the Roads and Trails
For road cycling enthusiasts, there are endless loops and routes around Knowlton, past lakes, along countryside roads, to microbreweries, and through local villages. If you’re a mountain biker, head to nearby Bromont for downhill rides or Mount Bellevue for trails to suit any level.

08. Ski the Nearby Resorts
For stunning views across 450 acres and seven mountainsides, skiing at Bromont is a thrill. Make a day trip out of it, or round up the pals and head to the hill for night skiing on 104 lit trails. Looking for more downhill fun? There are three other ski resorts nearby, including Mont Sutton, Owl’s Head, and Mont Orford.
09. Enjoy a Calm Paddle
Head out on the water for canoe, kayak, or paddleboard. There are many launch points to choose from along the shores of Lac Brome or other surrounding lakes and rivers. You don’t even have to bring your own, with rental companies making it easy for you to get on the water.
10. Jump in the Saddle
Discover the picturesque landscape on horseback. Here you can explore the trails, forests, mountains and country roads with equestrian centres offering guides, horses, and expertise to connect with these incredible animals and get closer to nature.
